A brief and vague timeline of the growth of my Commodore gallery...


I have never made it a point to document the progression of my Commodore collecting illness. However, I have been able to gather, through a fair memory and some old newsgroup postings, a bit about when things started.



In 1996, while still in college, I began picking up spare computers for parts, and a few miscellanous machines that I'd always wanted to play with. The gallery by the end of '96 looked something like this:

A year later, I still had not admitted that I was collecting these things, though I had made an effort to get all the models that I'd ever wanted to play with. By early 1998, it looked like this:



By the fall of 1998, however, I was collecting Commodore products in earnest. It all began with a rediculous email-haggling match over a 1570 disk drive. By mid-1999, the collection looked like this:
